Easter Basket filler idea or pre-Easter weekend craft activity. This wooden DIY Paint kit has a cutout, see-through design that is laser cut out of the wood and personalized. Choose from zig zag, dinosaur, or monster truck design. Easy to paint and looks great with your Easter décor even if they were messy painters!
What set's this kit apart from others is the extras it comes with. In addition to the personalized egg, you will receive two pieces of wood grass cutouts, a wood flower cutout, and a stand so you can display your egg upright with 2 extra slots for the grass/flower combo (no glue needed). Also, my "with paint" options come with at least 6 paint colors and not 3.
Egg is 6" tall. Base width is 6" wide.
(1) PAINT Ordering Options:
Unfinished wood pieces only (no paint or supplies)
Kit with acrylic paint: 6 acrylic paint colors (2 paint pallets to choose from), 1 paint brush, 5 makeup sponges, sandpaper. Paint pallet choices will be "with pink" or "with coral/orange".... details below.
Kit with watercolors: watercolor set has 8 washable colors and a paint brush. This is a regular full size set in a plastic case with closing lid... you will be able to keep and use this for many more projects to come. **Watercolor is a good option if you choose ENGRAVED personalization.
*The 2 acrylic paint pallets to choose from:
“with pink” includes pastel shades of: pink, yellow, green, blue, purple, and a brown to paint the base with.
“with coral/orange” includes pastel shades of: coral/orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and a brown to paint the base with.
Both acrylic and watercolor paints provided are non-toxic.
(2) DESIGN Ordering Options:
Choose from the generic ZIG ZAG, DINOSAUR (T-Rex), or MONSTER TRUCK.
(3) PERSONALIZATION Ordering Options:
Use the drop down box to choose between "cutout" or "engraved" name or short phrase.
"Cutout" is where the name is laser cut with the rest of the egg design. There is see through space between each letter.
"Engraved" is where the name is laser engraved/burned into the middle solid wood section. There are no holes cutout between letters. This is best for longer names or short phrases like the "Bunny-o-saurus" option.
When painting the engraved area, it is best to use watercolor paints OR water down your acrylic paint. Straight acrylic paint will fill in/cover up the brown engraved name.
Please be aware that wood naturally has defects. Not every board is the same. There may be knots, wood grain and natural imperfections in your wood.
Additional Disclaimers:
Please be advised all pieces are cut and engraved by a laser so they may have a slight burnt smell at first which will go away, and they also have browned edges due to being cut by a laser.
